director's service address

Directors Service Address

Under the Companies Act 2006 it is possible for a company director to provide a ‘service address’ for the public record. This allows directors to use our address as their service address to maintain privacy where required.

Customers ordering a registered office address, can also use our address as the directors service address.

Using a directors service address is essential if you want to keep your home address private. Companies House display the addresses for all directors on their website.

What is included in the service?

Customers that order a registered office or virtual address service from Small Firms Services can also use the same address as the Directors Service Address at Companies House. It is as simple as that! Using our address means that you keep your address private! Free! No extra fee! No annual charge when you buy the registered office service.

Why you want to keep your address private?

Every company director must provide their address to Companies House. This information is added to a public register, therefore it can be accessed by anyone using the internet. In addition, there are hundreds of websites that 'scrape' data from Companies House and display your address on their websites!

What addresses do Directors have to provide?

Director of Limited Companies (LTD) and Partners of a Limited Liability Partnership have to provide two addresses to Companies House. They must declare their home address and may also submit a service address for the public register.

Comment: For many years company directors have been legally required to provide their home address details to Companies House. For the vast majority this was never an issue of great concern. Recent increases in cyber crime and corporate identity theft have changed this view. Millions of company directors addresses are available for public inspection because they can be accessed by anyone using the internet. We understand that people will want to protect their home address. Most directors prefer some privacy and are more comfortable keeping their personal details private. That is why we allow our address to be used as a service address at no extra cost.
